Very interesting. It is interesting to think of the changes that have occured throughout the career of nursing itself and how the face of nursing will change in the future. Liked the blog but the background made it a bit difficult to review the info on the front page. Very good job. Jeff

Good job "guys", nice utube video as well. Really makes you see the differences that are still there between men and women nurses. Kinda sad! Nicely put together on myspace as well.

The video you guys posted really hit home for me, especially the segment on the OB pt who assumed her nurse was her doctor because he was male. On mother/baby there is no male nurses and I think that is the strangest thing. There are tons of male nurses out there who could do that job just as well as the women there...and how is it any different when you are having your male OB all up in your stuff in comparisson to your male nurse. This is certainly a stigma that needs to be addressed and changed. Great myspace page and blogged info. I really liked the picture of the men stating " are you man enough".

I really enjoyed your guys project. It was well put together and had a lot of information. I was suprised that even in this day and age that the one article mentioned there was only 4 men in the straight out of high school group. So I would think that we should maybe concentrate more on recruiting at the high school level. We could show the high school guys that this is a high paying honorable profession that more men are turning to.
Good Job

What a hot topic! With the nursing shortage, recruiting more men into the field should be a top priority. The articles listed on the site were very informative and an eye opener. Reading about dismissing stereotypes and the perception of males in nursing makes you realize there is still a social stigma attached to nursing. Very easy to read format and I love the music!! Good creativity, you guys rock!
